Filipino and Lebanese-owned + Edmonton-based. neverthesame was built from a love for creating. Before the matcha bar, we were immersed in building things by hand. From vintage graphic tees of your favourite athletes, to custom hand-tufted rugs, to now your favourite matcha bar. That same obsession with detail and creativity became the foundation of everything we serve today.

We serve matcha, breads, and more. Our matcha is made using 4 grams of ceremonial grade matcha sourced from Yame, Japan.  If you like matcha with nutty, creamy, and white chocolate notes... Then you've got to try a sip.

neverthesame is more than a name to us. It’s a reminder that life is always changing, and so are we. The person you were years ago is not the same person you are today. Our interests evolve, our ideas shift, and the world around us constantly moves with us. Instead of resisting change, we learned to create through it.

That mindset is at the core of everything we do. Every pop-up, every drink, every project becomes a reflection of where we are in the moment. Nothing stays the same forever.
